Dimension 1
Stewardship of Authority
Authority is held to the standard first. Title does not purchase exemption from the expectation.
Leadership Evaluation, Development, Growth, Evidence & Readiness
Performance tells us what was achieved. Impact tells us what the method left behind.
The L.E.D.G.E.R. System measures how leadership is performed, experienced, and demonstrated. It makes leadership readiness teachable, observable, measurable, and accountable — strengthening the employee bench through observable expectations, supported practice, measurable evidence, and repeatable readiness.
The Bench Build — a 90-day leadership bench-development pilot powered by The L.E.D.G.E.R. System.
The problem
Everyone is told to be professional. Almost no one is given the observable behavior that proves it.
The same expectation is enforced differently depending on who is on duty, which teaches the team that the standard is optional.
Targets are hit while trust, information flow and retention quietly degrade. The number is celebrated; the method is never examined.
Expectations are announced once and never taught, practiced or reinforced, so behavior returns to baseline within a week.
Decorum is required downward and waived upward. Authority becomes an exemption rather than a higher obligation.
The L.E.D.G.E.R. Standard
Dimension 1
Authority is held to the standard first. Title does not purchase exemption from the expectation.
Dimension 2
The result is evaluated together with what the method left behind in people, culture and trust.
Dimension 3
Questions are designed for purpose, timing and power dynamics rather than defaulting to accusation.
Dimension 4
Decorum is applied in every direction — upward, lateral, downward and to the customer.
Dimension 5
Information becomes an observable expectation that is taught, practiced and reinforced.
Dimension 6
Gaps are named with evidence, separated from personal worth, and closed with a specific plan.
Implementation
| Days | Phase | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1–14 | Discover | Operating context, scope, participants, observers and boundaries are documented. |
| 15–30 | Baseline & Gap Map | Self and observer assessments establish a baseline and a gap map. No baseline is invented. |
| 31–45 | Align & Teach | The standard is translated into observable expectations and taught to the group. |
| 46–60 | Practice & Coach | Behaviors are practiced in real conditions and logged in the observation ledger. |
| 61–75 | Support & Transfer | Practice is supported in real work until the expectation holds without the facilitator present. |
| 76–90 | Reassess & Decide | Endline assessment, the Leadership Balance Sheet, and a Stop / Adjust / Extend / Replicate decision. |
The change and adoption chain
INFORMATION → UNDERSTANDING → READINESS → PRACTICE → SUPPORT → ACCOUNTABILITY → TRANSFORMATION
The final deliverable at days 76–90 is the Leadership Balance Sheet.

Evidence discipline
The Bench Build remains a pilot-stage offer until independent pilots demonstrate measurable, repeatable outcomes. It may be engaged transparently as a pilot; no proven-outcome claims are made.
